For the health and safety of all our guests, destination partners and their staff, our staff and the general public, we are operating in line with current state and federal health mandates to ensure we deliver safe experiences.

 

In accordance with Queensland’s COVID-19 Vaccine Plan as it relates to the tourism and aviation industry, from 17 December 2021, non-essential leisure businesses will only be able to permit vaccinated staff and guests

 

From 17 December 2021, bookings for all tours will be restricted to those who are fully vaccinated.

 

What does this mean for you?

Tasty Tours is committed to working with our guests throughout this challenging period. 

 

Please be assured that all Tasty Tours staff are fully vaccinated.

 

Booking process

You will be asked for your vaccination status during the booking process.

 

During the booking process, if you advise that you are fully vaccinated, and don’t provide proof of vaccination upon pick up, your booking will be void and you will not receive a refund.

 

Your tour guide will check all passenger vaccination statuses on pick up. You will also be required to provide proof of vaccination to all venues we visit and check in via the Check In QLD app.

 

You are required to carry proof of your vaccination status and show this to your tour guide, before boarding our vehicles. If you cannot provide proof of vaccination, your booking will be void and you will not receive a refund.

 

Acceptable proof of vaccination

There are 3 different types of proof available that you can get for free:

  • a COVID-19 digital certificate

  • your immunisation history statement (IHS)

  • an International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate for overseas travel.

Exemption from COVID-19 vaccination

Any person who cannot be vaccinated must show an evidence of contraindication. This is a medical certificate stating that a person is exempted from getting a COVID-19 vaccination. This can be downloaded from the Australian Immunisation Register.

 

A person that has evidence of a medical contraindication will be treated as if they are fully vaccinated and may be permitted to board our vehicles and enter venues with eased restrictions for fully vaccinated people.

 

Non - Vaccinated guests

All guests participating in experiences with Tasty Tours must be fully vaccinated or have a medical exception.  The QLD Government App will be able to be used to check this status on arrival to each of our venues.   

 

Group bookings

Should you have guests in your group that that are not vaccinated they are not permitted to attend. 

 

Please contact us if you or your guests:

  • Are not fully vaccinated or have a medical exemption

  • Have been overseas within 14 days of your booking date

  • Have visited a Queensland declared hot spot or exposure zone within 14 days of your tour date

 

You or your guests must not attend a tour if:

  • If you become unwell or displaying any COVID-19 symptoms

    • Cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue, runny nose, vomiting or nausea, loss of smell or taste and shortness of breath or any other flu-like symptoms or related illness

  • You are deemed a close contact with a known active case of COVID-19

  • Have receive a positive COVID-19 test result

Cancellation

As this is a QLD Government mandate we must comply. 

If you cannot provide proof of vaccination, your booking will be void and you will not receive a refund.

 

If you have tested positive within 14 days of your booking or are waiting on test results from a COVID-19 test, you will not be able to attend and will be entitled to a full refund. Alternatively you can postpone.
